60 Second Film Project

For our film we received the robot. This made coming up with a story a little bit easier because there are many different story plots to be done with a robot. Our movie was about a robot who saves a boy. The two become best friends and have lots of good times together. The robot then gets broken by a bully and then gets cured. However, after making our storyboard, shot list, and script, we realized that we did not have enough time to include everything we filmed or that was in our script. We filmed nearly everything, but mot everything could be included in 60 seconds. After we filmed we got into the editing suite and realized this. I do not think that it hurt us. I believe that our movie was still very good. I also think that even without these scenes the story made sense. I think the thing I have learned from this is that a script may be longer than it seems when you incorporate all of the dramatic aspects. This will help me with CAP Hollywood by showing me to cut down on unnecessary scenes.
