As many know "Frankenstorm" is coming in a couple of days to wreak havoc on the East Coast Area. Many are now being seen at the supermarket stocking up on valuable food supplies that they will need in the days to come. What everyone is horribly worried about is the upcoming loss of power. Due to Pepco's unreliablity, those in the D.C. region are wondering not if they will lose power but how long the outage will last. However, Pepco stated in a press release that they are in the process of making changes to protect their systems. They also called their customers telling them to prepare for the storm. In my opinion this sounds like a highly ominous message. If Pepco "has it under control" then why are they sending out a message telling people to ready for an outage. If what meteorologists are predicted comes true, this storm will be part hurricane Sandy and part winter storm. It will possibly also last up to four days so in addition many children may have a disappointingly wet Halloween. This storm may also impact the presidential election causing campaign rallies and other events to be canceled or delayed. In an
article by Newsday it was reported that Romney has canceled a few events while President Obama has moved events around to avoid the storm. This storm will cause many problems throughout the region. I for one will be following the storm very closely and see the widespread damage it causes in its path of destruction Big storms have always fascinated me. I hope nobody loses their power and everyone stays safe. Good luck against "Frankenstorm!"
This is a video about the upcoming storm.
